Samantha is Ten

My baby is TEN!!!! Where in the world does time go?? It seems like just yesterday that I brought her home from the hospital. She is truly an amazing little lady! I admire and respect her more and more everyday. She has the kindest, most gentle personality ever. She always thinks of other people and their feelings (except her brother!).
My friend Harmony took these pictures also. What I love about Harmony taking my kids' pictures, is that they are so relaxed and themselves around her. Harmony definitely captured Samantha's true personality! I just love how these all turned out!

OMG!!! She looks so old here!!!

Six Month Photo Shoot

My good friend, Harmony took some pictures of Brinley for me. She really captured Brinley's sweet nature. Unfortunately for us, Harmony and her family moved to Eastern Oregon shortly after Brinley was born, so she hasnt taken Brinley's pictures as much as I would have liked. The good thing is, it;s a good excuse for a weekend get away. Enjoy the photos!

Six Months Old

Here we are at the 1/2 year mark! I cannot believe it. Brinley has brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. With the adoption of her, we have seen what wonderful friends and family we have! Everyone has welcomed Brinley with open arms. I am astonded by everyones love for this precious little girl. I am confident that no one would love her anymore if she were our biological child. I knew Sam and I would love her like that, but the fact that everyone else does is wonderful. We are all so lucky to have her in our lives.

Brinley is
  • 17 lbs 6 oz and 28 inches
  • Sitting up independently
  • Working on getting teeth
  • Playing with her toys

I got the idea for this pose from my friend, Sonja. It didn't turn out quite how I wanted it, but I still think it's cute. Of course, Brinley does not take bad photos!!

Snow Day!

Yesterday we got quite a bit of snow, so school was cancelled! The kids had a great time and spent most of the day outside sledding and building snowmen. I bundled Brinley up and took her out to get some photos.

Going

Going

And Gone!

Brinley was good with the snow until she did a face plant....and of course I HAD to get a photo before I wiped her face off!

Four Months Old!!!

Miss Brinley is FOUR months old!! Where does time go?? The last month has been filled with many great firsts! Brinley's first Thanksgiving was spent up in Eastern Washington with my family. They were all delighted to meet Brinley and couldn't believe what a good baby she is! I joke that if I had a nickel for every time someone said 'She's such a good baby', we'd have her adoption paid for!! When we came home from Thanksgiving we rushed out to get our Christmas Tree. Brinley has loved looking at the lights. I think she does wonder why we have a tree in our house though! Some of Brinley's happenings:

  • She is around 15 lbs and 27 inches
  • She loves her baths and has learned the great art of splashing!
  • She has learned to scream (happily) and especially loves to do it to her brother!
  • She has learned to pull her sister's hair!!

I love these legs!!!

OK, I'm done!

Santa Breakfast

Saturday we headed down to a local golf course for our annual Breakfast with Santa! Brinley pretty much slept through the whole thing, including her first Santa visit! Oh well, I think it makes a pretty cute picture!
