I am sorry it has been so long since I have updated. Time has gotten away from me! So, last I wrote we were getting ready for our second home study. We did that, the kids talked to Bonnie and all went well. She submitted our home study to PLAN (our adoption agency), and we were approved to adopt around the middle of December. Since then we have just been waiting for 'the call'. You might be asking why it took so long, as I had previously stated that we thought we would have a baby by the end of 2007. Well, there were some delays on both our part and on PLAN's part. Then with the holidays things just took longer than expected to get approved. We spoke with our adoption worker a few weeks ago. She thinks that we might have a longer wait for a couple of reasons. First, we are requesting a girl, so we are not eligable for every adoptable baby out there. Second, we already have kids, and Birthmothers tend to pick parents without children. I guess they want their child to come first. But we know when the right baby is ready for us, we will get that call!
Mean while, we are just progressing with our lives as normal...enjoying our sleep! The kids are good, we are good, life is good.
Please rest assured that when we get 'the call' you will all know! There might be a phone or email chain, but everyone who needs to know will know!
